Our Cafeteria opens daily from 8:30am, serving a delicious range of unique breakfasts and brunches, complemented by locally roasted organic coffee and an enticing selection of speciality drinks, from matcha lattes to freshly pressed juices.

As the day unfolds into afternoon and evening, we invite you to explore our carefully curated Taperia, showcasing the best of local ingredients and bold Mediterranean flavours. Pair your bites with our handpicked wines, and soak up the lively yet intimate vibe of our wine bar.

Gabriele Petrera

At the heart of La Tapa Loca’s kitchen is our talented Head Chef, Gabriele Petrera. Originally from the lush hills near Genova, Italy, Gabriele grew up surrounded by fresh, organic produce and a love for simple, honest cooking. This early connection to the land continues to inspire his passion for refined food made with natural ingredients.

Before joining La Tapa Loca, Gabriele was Executive Chef at FUMi Japanese Restaurant in Brighton, where he honed his flair for innovative Nippon-inspired flavours and led the much-acclaimed Omakase menus. Now, in his new role with us, he is dedicated to creating exciting dishes that bring the community together while remaining true to our commitment to sustainability and fair prices. Through every plate, Gabriele shares his vision: honest food, responsibly sourced, beautifully crafted – and always full of flavour.

    Absolutely! We love meeting your furry friends. We just ask that you please keep them on a lead and ensure they’re well-behaved around other guests.

    Do you cater for gluten-free and other dietary needs?
    Our team is fully allergen-aware and happy to cater for all dietary requirements where possible. However, please note that as our kitchen handles a variety of ingredients, we cannot guarantee any dish is completely allergen- or gluten-free. Always inform us of your needs when booking and on arrival.

    Is there parking nearby?
    Yes — street parking is available in the surrounding area. Please allow extra time to find a space, especially during busy periods.

    Do you offer takeaway?
    Not at the moment — we love to serve our food fresh for you to enjoy here with us.

    Are children welcome?
    Of course! La Tapa Loca is a family-friendly spot. We have high chairs available — just let us know if you need one.
